Responsibilities

We are looking to secure maternity cover in the Planning and Building Control Unit and are seeking enthusiastic, well‑organised and self‑motivated individuals who can work as part of a team, but also individually using their own initiative to take up this role.

You will be required to work to deadlines, therefore you must have good time management skills. You will assist in supervising and coordinating workloads within the Planning and Building Control Support Unit. You will also provide technical and administrative support to the Planning and Building Control teams and previous experience and/or an understanding of the Development Management and Building Control processes would be highly advantageous but not essential.

You will need to have an extensive understanding of Microsoft Office products and electronic document management systems. You must have excellent communication skills to deal with a wide range of customers, including the public and professionals.

Qualifications

Experience and/or an understanding of the Development Management and Building Control processes would be highly advantageous but not essential. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products and electronic document management systems is required. Excellent communication skills to deal with a wide range of customers is mandatory.
