We are seeking a Systems Engineer (MBSE) with extensive years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the defence industry and Model Based Systems Engineering – ideally with expertise in systems engineering, verification, validation, project management, and documentation. We are looking for an engineer who promotes a mindset of attention to detail, communication, and teamwork within the team. Candidates should have a good understanding of model‑based engineering techniques, including the use of DOORS NG, Rhapsody, and Engineering Workflow, and be familiar with lifecycle processes and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- As a Model Based Systems Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain complex systems solutions that meet our clients’ needs.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of systems, while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Support the development and effective use of MBSE tools and artifacts in support of customer needs.
- Design and maintain requirements architectures and SysML views to represent interactions.
- Work across all phases of the V‑model, translating concepts to customer requirements through to in‑service support, and provide systems engineering support to customer design and engineering management teams.
- Full requirements management (creation, update, validation, verification), including supplier integration and DOORS experience.
- Produce detailed technical documentation supporting the development of engineering requirements and associated documentation.
- Complete trade studies, manage planning and work package management, and review documentation for subsystems, customers, and work packages.
- Generate SysML models and apply UML knowledge.
- Conduct requirements elicitation, definition, and use‑case analysis.
- Assess concepts and conduct design trade studies.
- Design system architecture and perform functional modelling.
- Assess performance and analyze system behaviour.
- Execute verification, validation, proving, and certification activities.
- Perform systems integration and model‑based engineering techniques, including the use of Rhapsody.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Applicable experience can substitute for formal qualifications.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience with project management practices and tools, including schedule management, risk analysis, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., MIL‑STD, DO‑178C, DO‑254) is desirable.
- Eligibility for security clearance (dependent on project requirements).
