As we continue our transformation into a digital-first, customer-obsessed business, the Commercial Strategy Manager helps shape the company’s direction by supporting the development of strategic commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Work within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, supporting the development of high-quality strategic insights and recommendations.
- Partner effectively with cross-functional teams across commercial, technical and operational areas, as well as external advisers where needed.
- Support commercial assessment of product, price, channel, media and brand initiatives.
- Build models and analyse data to inform decision-making.
- Assess industry and economic trends to help anticipate future opportunities and risks.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify areas for growth or optimisation.
- Translate your analysis into crisp slides to deliver recommendations and perspectives to key executives. Build narratives to support and communicate your findings.
- Create clear, concise and visually compelling slide materials to communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure effective coordination across teams to support the successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives.
- Manage specific project workstreams or smaller projects with guidance from the Head of Commercial Strategy.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, or Experience
- Strong analytical mindset, with hands-on experience building financial or business models and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of building a clear narrative and tailoring messages for different audiences.
- Structured thinker with strong business acumen, able to bring clarity to ambiguous problems and link analysis to business impact.
- Problem-solving ability, with experience interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to drive insights.
- Sound project management skills, with the ability to plan work, manage timelines and engage relevant stakeholders.
- Self-starter who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar discipline.
