The role:
You will be working directly with our Leadership team to drive the growth of our Newport-based Business Development team. As a director, you will serve as the overall strategy and process leader for the Inside Sales team. As a passionate professional, you will be responsible for building a high-performing team.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities
- Measure the performance of the inside sales team. Support, mentor & train the team to best manage key business relationships from first conversation to signing contracts.
- Accountable for team performance regarding key performance indicators and quotas.
- Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team to develop a plan to continuously refresh the Inside Sales team’s sales skills.
- Provides leadership for the day-to-day operations of Inside Sales while maintaining focus on the company’s longer-term strategic goals.
- Work with key prospects and customers to understand the problems they are trying to solve, and how CDM Media can best solve them.
- Work closely with the Global Sales leaders to coordinate close of opportunities throughout both the EMEA and
- Drives compliance with key sales tools such as Salesforce.com and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to document the sales process, drive accountability and data integrity
- Drive revenue growth through accurate pipeline activity to achieve assigned goals
- Drive a high-performance environment to ensure continued hunger for sales and growth across the team; ensure metrics and incentives drive the desired focus and behavior
- Meet and exceed team defined KPIs that align to the strategic initiatives of the sales organization
- Hold BDRs accountable to KPI attainment
- Work across time zones developing new net logos and increasing footprint within existing clients
- Consistently evaluate team and role structures to ensure alignment, fit and impact
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience successfully managing and developing an inside B2B sales team
- Experience with building an Inside Sales team
- Previous experience working across large enterprises
- Scale experience – you have helped organizations grow in fast moving environments
- History of Team quota achievement
- Demonstrated success of training and coaching of new sales hires
- Highly developed communication skills for all levels of an organization
- Proven track record of driving discipline and rigor in the sales processes, including holding teams accountable for CRM data entry and maintenance to enable accurate pipeline and metrics reporting
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels both externally and internally, including executive and C-level
