About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks experienced technologists with expertise in cloud technologies, AI, Generative AI, and data analytics to join our UK Solutions Architecture team. Your role blends business acumen with technical guidance, engaging with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption to help them reinvent their businesses with AWS technology. You will act as the voice of the customer, share their needs with internal teams, and influence the AWS roadmap. You will create and share best practices and reference architectures across a range of use cases such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Serverless and Container-based architectures, Analytics and Big Data, DevOps, and Security.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to accelerate complex projects and align technological solutions with their long‑term business objectives.
- Build relationships with customers, including the C‑suite and Line of Business stakeholders, to establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Share the voice of the customer to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
- Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures.
- Evangelise and educate about AWS technology through workshops, meetups, public speaking, and other channels.
- Develop depth in technical domains relevant to customer outcomes and your interests.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience within specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting of applications and infrastructures.
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within software development or Internet‑related industries.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a DevOps perspective.
