Group Digital Marketing Executive – Paid Media, SEO & AEO
The Pickering Group is a family‑owned, UK‑based electronics manufacturer established in 1968, specialising in high‑quality switching, simulation, and relay products for aerospace, automotive, and defence industries. The role supports the company’s online growth by planning, delivering, monitoring and optimising digital marketing activities, focusing on lead generation, search visibility, paid media performance and effective content across search engines and AI‑driven platforms.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and optimise paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads.
- Monitor campaign performance, budgets, conversions, ROI and lead quality; recommend improvements.
- Support SEO and AEO initiatives, including website optimisation, metadata, site structure, indexing and content performance; enhance AI‑search visibility.
- Create and optimise landing pages, website content and user journeys to improve lead generation and conversion rates.
- Analyse website and campaign performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console and HubSpot.
- Produce performance reports and use testing and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Create and manage email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, scheduling and performance tracking.
- Support social media content planning and promotion across LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure content is accurate, technically relevant and aligned with business objectives.
- Keep up to date with developments in paid media, SEO, AI search, analytics and B2B digital marketing.
Qualifications / Requirements
Education & Certifications: Holds a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field, or demonstrates equivalent experience. Additional certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO, HubSpot or digital marketing are advantageous.
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience in a digital marketing role.
- Experience managing or supporting paid advertising campaigns, particularly Google Ads.
- Knowledge of PPC, paid search, paid social, SEO and campaign optimisation.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console and content management systems, preferably WordPress.
- Ability to create, edit and optimise website content.
- Analytical skills to interpret campaign data and recommend performance improvements.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with LinkedIn Ads and other paid social platforms.
- Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM and marketing automation platform.
- Understanding of technical SEO, including indexing, redirects, metadata, page speed and site structure.
- Aware of AEO, AI search and featured snippets.
- Experience within a B2B, technical, manufacturing or engineering‑led environment.
- Experience creating landing pages and using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign.

- Understanding of how paid media, SEO, website content, email marketing and landing pages contribute to lead generation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confidence using digital marketing platforms, analytics tools, content management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, curious and data‑driven approach with a willingness to learn technical products and markets.
