KeyResponsibilities

• Leadand manage SEND provision across the academy.
• Ensurecompliance with the SEND Code of Practice (2014) and statutory guidance.
• Workclosely with the Executive Head and leadership team to develop and implementSEND strategy.
• Monitorand evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision across the school.
• Supportteachers in delivering high-quality inclusive classroom practice.
• Coordinateand review targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
• Deliversmall-group interventions to support pupils with additional needs.
• Provideoccasional cover teaching where required.
• Workcollaboratively with parents, carers and external agencies.
• Maintainaccurate SEND records and oversee identification and assessment processes.

KeyRequirements

• QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS).
• NationalAward for SEN Coordination (NASENCo)
• Experienceof coordinating SEND provision, ideally in a primary setting.
• Strongknowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Excellentcommunication and leadership skills.
• Commitmentto ensuring the best outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
