Specialist Occupational Therapist – Specialist Eating Disorders Service

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a specialised multi‑disciplinary team within the mental health service for eating disorders across Cwm Taf and Cardiff and Vale UHBs.

Responsibilities

• Shape the therapeutic offer and service strategy within Occupational Therapy.
• Provide supervision to junior occupational therapy staff.
• Daily management of the Occupational Therapy service delivery in the clinical area.
• Deliver holistic assessment and interventions to optimise function for individuals with high‑risk eating disorders.
• Engage with a service development initiative and collaborate with other professions.

Qualifications

• Experienced Occupational Therapist with work in high‑risk eating disorder settings.
• Excellent communication skills and effective team working.
• Strong interest in service improvement and development.
• Knowledge of functional, cognitive and sensory rehabilitation techniques.
• Ability to work in a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh.
