THE ROLE
LEGGWORK is recruiting a Carpenter for a heritage construction project in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire. The role involves carrying out a range of high-quality carpentry works on a long-term heritage restoration project, requiring attention to detail and a strong understanding of traditional construction methods.
Working Hours: Standard site hours apply.
Overtime: Opportunities for overtime will become available as the project progresses, including Saturdays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out 1st and 2nd fix carpentry works to a high standard.
- Work on heritage and restoration elements in line with project specifications.
- Repair, replace and install traditional timber components.
- Interpret drawings and work independently where required.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with site management and other trades.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Carpenter.
- Previous heritage carpentry experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of traditional carpentry techniques and materials.
- Own tools and transport preferred.
- CSCS card is not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
