East Sussex College is seeking a committed and inspiring Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our Construction and Building Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to share your industry knowledge and help apprentices develop into competent, confident electrical professionals.
You will be responsible for delivering the Level 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeship programme over a three-year period, ensuring apprentices gain the technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours required to successfully complete their End Point Assessment and progress within the industry.
You will join a supportive and experienced team that is dedicated to delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across our construction provision.
This exciting role will include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the Level 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeship programme.
- Supporting apprentices to develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and behaviours required for success in the workplace and End Point Assessment.
- Monitoring learner progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing effective support strategies to maximise achievement.
- Working closely with employers and colleagues to ensure apprenticeship provision meets industry standards and employer expectations.
If you can demonstrate the following, we’d love to hear from you:
- A recognised Level 3 qualification (or above) in Electrical Installation and substantial industry experience within the electrical sector.
- Current knowledge of industry standards, regulations and practices within electrical installation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- A teaching qualification and/or assessor qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Annual Salary: Circa £30,000 – £42,000 (24,300 – 34,000 actual)
Hours: 30 hours per week, 52.14 weeks
