Role Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Shuttering Carpenters to join our team in Acton. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in shuttering and formwork carpentry, with a proven track record of working on large-scale RC frame projects. You must have good experience in carpentry and core work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct and dismantle shuttering and formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and compliance with project specifications.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, ensuring that all measurements and alignments are accurate.
  • Select and prepare the appropriate materials for shuttering and formwork, ensuring they are ready for concrete pouring.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, making adjustments as necessary to achieve the best results.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • IPAF (essential)
  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Physically fit for duties around a construction site.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Hard working.
  • Respectful.
  • A good team player.
  • Previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • NVQ Carpenter.
  • IPAF.
  • Formwork Carpentry: 2 years (Preferred).
  • Able to operate in a flexible and adaptable manner and work as part of a team.
  • Open to attending training programmes to increase individual skills and knowledge.
