About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Site Assistant to maintain the safety, cleanliness and functionality of the school premises with a focus on grounds maintenance. The role involves caring for outdoor spaces, including tennis courts, football and rugby pitches, and the cricket field. The position is offered for 32 hours per week, all year round, with flexible working hours that may include later finishes during school holidays and occasional weekends for school events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide caretaking services to facilitate teaching and learning for students and staff.
  • Prevent health risks by maintaining a safe environment.
  • Assist in maintaining the fabric of the school buildings and site.
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance.
  • Act as a key holder, opening or closing the site and responding to alarm calls.
  • Prepare classrooms and teaching areas for daily use.
