Are you calm under pressure, confident on the phone, and great with people? We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Helpdesk/Switchboard Operator to join our fast‑paced communications team. You’ll be the crucial first point of contact for internal and external callers and play a key role.
What You’ll Do
- Operate a computer‑based Switchboard system
- Handle all calls and requests
- Monitor and respond to alarms, including fire, trauma, and security alerts
- Maintain clear and accurate records
- Support with clerical and admin duties
- Work independently and respond confidently to emergencies
What You’ll Need
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay composed in high‑pressure situations
- Good computer literacy and organisational skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Previous office or switchboard experience
- Be adaptable and embrace changing priorities
- Be a brilliant communicator and build relationships easily
