We’re looking for a proactive and organised Paralegal to join our Clinical Negligence team. You’ll play a vital role in supporting clients during some of the most challenging moments of their lives, helping to ensure their cases progress smoothly and efficiently. This role is based in our Southampton office, where regular office attendance is essential for collaboration and high‑quality service delivery.

You will assist the team with the early stages of Clinical Negligence claims, onboard new clients, and help manage complex and sensitive cases. What you’ll do
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience in a legal or professional services setting. You’ll be a vital part of a team recognised for its expertise and compassion, contributing to meaningful outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
- The role will support lawyers across the firm in the initial stages of a claim, including setting up the file, obtaining and reviewing medical records.
- Drafting documentation and providing legal/administrative support to senior lawyers.
- Conducting research into quantum, medical issues, legislation and case law.
- Supporting the team with file management and day‑to‑day administration.
What we’re looking for
- A genuine interest and/or prior experience in Clinical Negligence matters.
- An ability to handle sensitive client information with tact and empathy.
- Highly flexible approach, able to work effectively as part of a busy team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong IT skills including confident use of MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
