Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap are seeking Full Time Support Workers to join our incredible teams in Southampton.
As a Support Worker, you will assist with daily activities at home and in the community, and provide emotional support to a diverse group of 12 individuals with learning disabilities.
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life.
A non‑contractual sleep‑in is also available, with an enhanced flat‑rate payment of £64.20 per shift.
Qualifications
- Genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- Willingness to learn new skills and strong time‑management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, professionals, and families.
Contract Options
- Full Time – 37.5 hours per week.
All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
£26,228 per annum (pro‑rata) plus excellent benefits.
