As a Maternity Contact Support Worker, you will play a vital role in facilitating meaningful family time for children aged 0-17 and their families. Your responsibilities will include arranging, supervising, and recording family time sessions. You may also attend court to provide evidence during care proceedings. This role requires you to accurately document information and report any safeguarding concerns.
You will work across various venues throughout the County, so a full driving license and a suitable vehicle are essential. The core working hours are from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and flexibility is key to meet the changing needs of our service. We provide relevant training and professional development opportunities to help you excel in your role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate Family Time: Arrange and supervise family time sessions between children and their families.
- Documentation: Accurately record information and maintain detailed records of family time sessions.
- Safeguarding: Identify and report any safeguarding concerns promptly.
- Transport: Safely transport children to and from family time sessions as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with social workers and other professionals to support families effectively.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Driving License: A full driving license and access to a suitable vehicle.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children and families is desirable.
- Education: A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C, including English, or equivalent qualifications.
