We’re looking for a Dryer Operator to join our Production team, helping us deliver high-quality products safely, efficiently and consistently. This is a hands‑on, technical role where you’ll take ownership of the dry end of the paper machine and make a real impact on performance, quality and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
- Operate the dry end of the paper machine to meet quality and performance standards
- Optimise machine efficiency and performance
- Identify and resolve operational, process, and product issues
- Monitor equipment condition and support maintenance activities
- Provide clear communication and reporting across the team
- Support and guide the Machine Assistant
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including safety, housekeeping and workplace organisation
- Ensure strict adherence to safe systems of work and procedures
This is a Grade D 3 shift role.

- Have experience operating within a manufacturing or production environment (papermaking experience desirable)
- Understand process control, quality standards, and machine operation
- Are confident identifying issues and taking action to maintain output and quality
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
