We are seeking to fill several roles to help us deliver our new vision for Health and Adults Services (HAS), in our in‑house provisions for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Royal Borough of Greenwich Health and Adults services (HAS) collaborates with residents so they can live the best lives they can, by working together to identify strengths and to support independence.

We are strong believers in empowering people and building on their positive attributes. We enjoy our work and strive to deliver the best outcomes in a supportive and nurturing environment. This applies to our residents as well as our workforce.

Our vision for HAS Services 2026 to 2031 is: Working together to live the best life people can in Royal Greenwich.

We have developed a new long‑term vision with the help of residents, their families and partner organisations, which will build on all our strengths to support health, wellbeing, and independence.

Our ambition is for everyone to live well, by focusing on what matters to people, what they can do and their connections to the world around them.

At Royal Borough of Greenwich, we believe adults should lead as independent and fulfilling lives as possible. To achieve this, we take a strengths‑based approach to understanding residents’ needs and goals, supporting them to live as independently as possible.

We seek motivated and enthusiastic individuals who can be effective in supporting and understanding the needs of residents with a learning disability and autism, with all aspects of their care.

You will work with residents using a strength‑based approach to ensure the recreational, spiritual, social and emotional aspirations of residents, are a focus of their care and recognise potential opportunities for building their resilience and independence. It is important therefore that you have good observational, listening, planning, communication and recording skills, and thrive in working within a team environment.

You will work with residents to ensure they are achieving their full potential within a framework of choice, inclusion and independence.

As a Support Worker you will be required to enable residents to express their rights, choices and aspirations whilst ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with Royal Greenwich Council and Greenwich Living Options policies, procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards.
