This is a part-time role working 21 hours per week. We are looking for an Activities Support Worker. The role is shaped around the lives, choices and interests of the people we support, with flexibility as an essential requirement. This may occasionally include evening and weekend work to enable people to attend social events, clubs, performances, sporting activities, celebrations or other experiences important to them.

About the Role

Through our Everyone Everywhere approach, we work alongside people with learning disabilities and autistic people to build meaningful relationships, discover opportunities and take part in the people, places and activities that matter most to them. We help local people, groups and organisations become more welcoming and inclusive, building positive relationships and opening doors to new opportunities.

The role involves regular travel using a variety of methods, including cars, minibuses, public transport and walking. A full UK driving licence is essential. Full training and support will be provided.

Essential Requirements

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Be willing and able to drive the vehicles of the people we support and, where appropriate, service vehicles.
  • Be willing and physically able to support people with mobility needs, including pushing wheelchairs where required.
  • Feel comfortable working across a range of settings and travelling between locations.
  • Be flexible in your approach to working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Experience in social care, community development, youth work, education, voluntary services, customer service or similar people-focused roles would be beneficial. However, what matters most is your values, attitude and commitment to helping people build good lives. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
