Job Overview

A Housing Management worker responsible for managing a portfolio of properties and tenancies within a designated area, providing an intensive Housing Management Service to a core group of people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive housing management support.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop accommodation plans.
  • Determine eligibility for the service and take necessary actions.
  • Handle property management and maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management team to maintain property standards, report repairs promptly, and ensure suitability for letting and safe occupation.
  • Maximise rent collection and adhere to the arrears management policy and procedure.

Professional and Technical Experience

  • Maintain the highest professional standards and service levels, treating all service users with dignity and respect.
  • Work in partnership with the Housing Management team to meet voids and arrears targets, comply with Tenure Law, and adhere to Housing policies and procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with the local community, neighbours, and landlords.
  • Collaborate with key internal partners in Quality, Policy, HR, Finance, and IT to deliver the best possible service.
  • Be prepared to work flexibly across more than one area if required.

Requirements

  • Comply with all organisational and compliance elements of the job description.
  • Perform duties that may vary within the broad remit of the role and grade, and undertake any reasonable and appropriate duties.
  • Have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Undergo a DBS check (required).
  • Be able to travel regularly.
