Online Vehicle Diagnostic Technician
Location: Nottingham (office based)
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience (between £42,000-£45,000) rising to £55,000
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am – 5:15 pm (42.5 hours). No weekends.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using the company’s diagnostic tools through the remote diagnostic portal.
- Provide technical support and repair advice to customers and their technicians via chat, mail, or phone.
- Interpret diagnostic codes and data, and recommend corrective actions to ensure a fix on the first contact.
- Maintain equipment and software updates, and continuously learn new techniques and tools.
- Work collaboratively with team members, sharing insights and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of diagnostic procedures and outcomes.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service quality.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent highly preferred.
- Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician from various brands would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electronics, and electrical components of vehicles.
- Proficient in using automotive diagnostic software and equipment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a true team player with a solution‑oriented approach.
