Social Worker – Family Assessment & Support Team (FAST)
Salary: £38,220 to £42,839 per annum

Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire
Responsibility Overview
Work with children, young people and their families to support those in need and safeguard vulnerable children. Tasks include conducting family assessments, developing and implementing Child and Family Plans and Child Protection Plans, and in some cases completing pre‑proceedings work and issuing care proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct short‑term and long‑term assessments of families and children.
- Develop, monitor and review Child and Family Plans and Child Protection Plans.
- Complete pre‑proceedings work and issue care proceedings where appropriate.
- Collaborate with other agencies and internal teams across North Yorkshire.
- Participate in regular group and individual supervisions and practice development sessions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant social work qualification and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children, young people and families, including child protection.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Enhanced Level DBS disclosure required for appointment.
