As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a committed Driver Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a dependable, dedicated and flexible Driver Technician to join our UKAS accredited Materials team. As a member of Materials, it is key that you are able to thrive in a team environment, as well as independently. The fundamental part of the role is to determine the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing will be undertaken in line with a range of British, European and American standards so a good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures is required.

Responsibilities

  • Collections of concrete and materials samples
  • Transfer of samples across the UK
  • Direct contact with our client
  • IT Skills excel/booking system

Qualifications

  • Valid clean driving licence
  • You are physically fit and able to move large volumes of concrete cubes and materials samples
  • Ability to work independently and follow schedules and deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CSCS card desirable but we can facilitate this for you
