Opportunity for permanent employment and teacher training

Suitable for a recent Graduate or experienced Academic Mentor

This is a full‑time long‑term Academic Mentor position with the potential to become permanent, based at a mixed secondary school and sixth form in South West London. Working hours are 8 am to 4 pm.

Responsibilities

• Supporting SEN and LAP students in group or whole‑class intervention sessions
• Working with teachers to ensure each student’s learning needs are identified
• Attending to students’ social, emotional and personal needs when required
• Supporting behaviour management and implementing appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
• Undertaking learning activities and teaching programmes when needed

Benefits

Daily rates between £99.75 and £116.55, depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• Clear and up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS check
• UK Bachelor’s Degree or overseas equivalent
• Experience working with children, teenagers, or young people as an Academic Mentor in UK schools
