The Role
A secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a supply basis. The role involves teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ confidence in numeracy, reasoning, and problem-solving. You will support pupils in preparing for GCSE Maths, ensuring strong progress and attainment across mixed-ability classes. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment. Working closely with colleagues within the department, you will help ensure continuity of learning while upholding high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement.
The Candidate
- Hold QTS or be an ECT
- Have experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4
- Be confident delivering GCSE Maths content
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to supporting pupil progress and raising attainment
- Have a positive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
