SEN Teaching Assistant – Location: Newbury, Start Date: ASAP, Pay Scale: £90.00 – £105.00 per day.

A welcoming Specialist School in Newbury is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a highly supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Helping pupils develop social, emotional, and communication skills
• Working alongside teachers and other support staff
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• Patient, proactive, and committed to supporting children with diverse learning needs
• Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is advantageous
