About the role
Specialist Advanced Support Worker for a new service in the Warrington area. You will support an adult with learning disabilities, Tourette’s, OCD, and other complex needs, helping them live their best life possible.
Responsibilities
- Provide person‑centered support to an adult with learning disabilities, Tourette’s, OCD, and complex needs.
- Build trust and rapport, using verbal and non‑verbal communication to navigate challenging situations.
- Work flexible day and night shifts (Day 8am‑8pm; Night 8pm‑8am) and adapt to the service’s changing needs.
- Apply Positive Behaviour Support methods and other specialist techniques to promote independence and well‑being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and provide mentorship to colleagues where appropriate.

Qualifications
- Level 3 in Social Care (or equivalent) with extensive experience in mental health, autism, learning disabilities and physical health.
- Experience working with adults with autism or complex mental health conditions.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and non‑verbal) and empathy, compassion, sensitivity.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, honesty, determination, problem‑solving and resilience.
- Willingness to work flexible day and night shifts.
- Driving is a benefit; prior licence or ability is desirable.
- DBS background check – the employer will cover the cost.
