Student Supervisor (Behaviour) – Secondary School – Hillingdon – September2026 Start – Full‑Time

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hillingdon to appoint a dedicated Student Supervisor (BehaviourSupport) from September2026. This full‑time role is ideal for graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, mentors, or individuals considering a future career in education, psychology, social work, or pastoral care.

Role

As a Student Supervisor (Behaviour Support), you will work closely with pastoral leaders, teaching staff, and students to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing across the school.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise students throughout the school day, including break times, lunch times, and transitions between lessons.
  • Support the school’s behaviour and inclusion policies.
  • Work one‑to‑one and in small groups with students who require additional behavioural or pastoral support.
  • Build positive relationships with students and act as a trusted role model.
  • Support students in regulating their behaviour and making positive choices.
  • Assist with restorative conversations and behaviour interventions.
  • Monitor student attendance, punctuality, and engagement.
  • Support students who may be experiencing social, emotional, or mental health challenges.
  • Liaise with teachers, pastoral leaders, and parents where appropriate.
  • Help maintain a safe, calm, and purposeful learning environment across the school.
  • Contribute to student support plans and behaviour‑monitoring processes.

Qualifications

  • A degree or relevant experience working with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm, professional, and confident when managing challenging situations.
  • A positive, proactive, and resilient approach.
  • Excellent relationship‑building skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Previous experience in education, youth work, mentoring, coaching, sports leadership, behaviour support, or a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
