Role
As a Student Supervisor (Behaviour Support), you will work closely with pastoral leaders, teaching staff, and students to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing across the school.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students throughout the school day, including break times, lunch times, and transitions between lessons.
- Support the school’s behaviour and inclusion policies.
- Work one‑to‑one and in small groups with students who require additional behavioural or pastoral support.
- Build positive relationships with students and act as a trusted role model.
- Support students in regulating their behaviour and making positive choices.
- Assist with restorative conversations and behaviour interventions.
- Monitor student attendance, punctuality, and engagement.
- Support students who may be experiencing social, emotional, or mental health challenges.
- Liaise with teachers, pastoral leaders, and parents where appropriate.
- Help maintain a safe, calm, and purposeful learning environment across the school.
- Contribute to student support plans and behaviour‑monitoring processes.
Qualifications
- A degree or relevant experience working with young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and confident when managing challenging situations.
- A positive, proactive, and resilient approach.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting positive outcomes.
- Previous experience in education, youth work, mentoring, coaching, sports leadership, behaviour support, or a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
