Lean Harbors, located in Corunna, Ontario, is seeking an Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic to join a safety-conscious team. The role involves assisting in the maintenance and repair of heavy handling units, including tractors, trailers, and loaders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that health and safety practices are followed in all tasks.
• Secure all equipment before work or repairs using chock blocks and jack stands.
• Correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify required repairs.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair light and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts.
• Fit and adjust new or repaired parts.
• Complete and submit all associated paperwork for tracking preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free shop area.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Truck and Coach Technician Apprentice.
• Previous experience as a heavy-duty mechanic is an asset.
• Experience with hydraulics is an asset.
• Experience working on vacuum trucks is an asset.
• Ability to use J Pro diagnostic software.
• Full driver’s license required.
