Role Overview
The Community Activator Coach Apprentice, based at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre, will co‑coach fun, inclusive and engaging activities designed to help inactive individuals adopt a more active lifestyle. The role focuses on children from low‑income families, people with disabilities or long‑term medical conditions, and older people.
Key Responsibilities
The apprentice will lead and coach activities, work towards a Level 2 Community Activator apprenticeship over 14 months, and attend additional training such as First Aid at Work, Level 2 Community Sports Leaders, Chair‑Based Exercise, Walks Leader and sport‑specific coaching qualifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A passion for a range of sports, exercise and fitness.
- Good communication and customer care skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- The ability to use own initiative.
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
