Sun 09:00–19:00, Wed 09:00–19:00, Thu 19:00–23:00, Sat 09:00–19:00.

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £14.18 an hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you would prefer fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we also have opportunities for this.

The table shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide three weeks’ notice of your exact shifts.

As the face of Tesco out on the road, you deliver from Lands’ End to John O’Groats and meet customers in their homes every day. This role is more than just driving; it’s about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.

  • Keep the van and trays clean and organised.
  • Leave the back yard tidy and clear of rubbish, picking up litter as you see it.
  • Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load the van as required and check it for roadworthiness.
  • Communicate with customers about any changes to their order, including substitutions and refunds.
  • Take care of products and deliveries as if they were your own.
  • Explain that customers will not be charged for substitutions.
  • Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
  • Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
  • Call the store if running 30 minutes or more late.
  • Call the store/centre if you’re running 30 or more minutes late.
  • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
