Area Sales Manager – South UK
An established global manufacturer of electronic components is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive growth across the South UK region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused sales professional with experience in the electronics industry to develop strategic customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and grow market share within a defined territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Deliver technical product presentations and support customers with product selection and application discussions.
- Manage and grow a sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure excellent customer support and satisfaction.
- Develop territory plans and execute strategic sales initiatives.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, market intelligence, and activity reporting through CRM systems.
- Collaborate with channel partners and distribution networks to maximise market coverage.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development within the electronics industry.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Technical understanding of electronic components and related technologies.
- Experience working with OEMs, EMS providers, distributors, or design engineering teams would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of achieving sales objectives.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the South UK region.
Qualifications
- Ideally but not essential is a Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- Previous experience in Semiconductors,/passive compenent sales or electronic component distribution/manufacturing is essential.
