Facilities Engineer

PRS are currently working with a leading Facilities Services provider who are looking to grow their team and take on multi-skilled facility engineers.

These roles offer progression, a competitive salary of £45-50k and are based in City of London, working Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm).

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and breakdown repairs on all mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems across the site.
• Ensure all environmental conditions are maintained at all times, with particular focus on critical building systems and infrastructure.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of air conditioning systems, UPS systems, generators, and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, including fault-finding using graphical monitoring information and alarm data analysis.
• Complete all scheduled PPM activities in accordance with site maintenance schedules, asset registers, and statutory requirements.
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests throughout the building, including concessionary retail areas and general fabric maintenance issues.
• Proactively identify opportunities for system, equipment, and operational improvements to enhance reliability and performance.
• Monitor and manage subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and site procedures.
• Issue, administer, and oversee permits to work, ensuring all works are completed in accordance with company quality, health and safety policies and client requirements.
• Diagnose, rectify, and resolve plant faults and equipment defects efficiently to maintain continuous operation and minimise downtime.
• Maintain all plant and equipment in a safe, compliant, and serviceable condition at all times.

Requirements:

• Formally trained in Electro-Mechanical principles to City and Guilds or the equivalent NVQ and Building Services maintenance (Level 3)
• Standard DBS – Dated with 1 Year

This role involves working on a large portfolio of commercial buildings, dealing with landlords and working in a large team.
