A nurturing SEMH school in Tameside is looking for a Qualified Primary Teacher to join their close knit school.
This is a unique opportunity to join this well established education group in supporting pupils with diverse needs. The school are looking for a Primary Teacher with proven experience of working with SEND or SEMH pupils. They provide a broad and balanced curriculum to promote engagement and individual progression.
Job description:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons, to KS1/KS2 pupils with complex SEMH, ASC and other learning needs
- Alongside the curriculum, providing emotional regulation and sensory support
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Promoting independence and confidence through tailored, nurture focused learning
- Tracking progress and contribute to EHCP processes
- Preparing pupils for transition to KS3
- Working hours: 8:15am – 4pm
- Starting ASAP
- Salary: £32,000 – £38,000
Person specification:
- Experience of teaching, preferably in a SEN setting
- QTS or QTLS (desirable, open to ECTs)
- Experience of adapting teaching to various needs
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Adaptable, resilient and empathetic attitude
- Recognised degree in any subject
