We are delighted to be partnering with a leading B2B vocational awarding and assessment organisation to recruit a Head of Marketing & Communications. Following their recent acquisition by a major group, our client is entering an exciting period of growth, investment, and transformation.
In this newly created leadership role, you will have a unique opportunity to build a dedicated marketing function from the ground up. Leading a team of seven specialists, you will own the full marketing mix balancing strategic vision with a hands-on approach to directly drive lead generation, revenue, and pipeline growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a commercially focused B2B marketing strategy that drives revenue growth, lead generation, and market share.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team of seven, fostering a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making.
- Own and activate a major corporate rebrand, ensuring market positioning, messaging, and launch timings are aligned across all channels.
- Partner closely with the Commercial Director, sales, and product teams to optimise campaign frameworks, conversion rates, and sales enablement.
- Oversee full marketing mix operations, including digital marketing, content, CRM/automation, events, internal communications, and agency management.
- Define clear KPIs and marketing dashboards to effectively measure, track, and report performance and ROI directly to the Leadership Team.
- Ensure all external campaigns and communications safeguard the organisation’s reputation and strictly uphold regulatory requirements..
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience as a Head of Marketing or a Senior Marketing Manager.
- Strong B2B marketing background with evidence of direct revenue contribution, lead generation, and pipeline creation.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience, with a track record of managing and upskilling teams of 5–10 people.
- Exceptional commercial acumen and a growth mindset, with comfort navigating organisational change or business transformation.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working within regulated or compliance-led sectors (e.g., Professional Services, Financial Services, FinTech, Membership Organisation, Certification & Accreditation, Business Service, Healthcare Services, Education etc.)
- Practical expertise in managing corporate rebrands and business integration.
- Hands-on proficiency with CRM platforms and modern marketing automation tools.
- Prior exposure to sitting on a corporate Leadership Team or working closely with executive stakeholders.
The top end of the salary range is reserved for candidates who bring significant experience across the full marketing mix, strong leadership credentials, and a proven ability to link marketing investment directly to sustainable business growth.
