Senior Quantity Surveyor

Company: Bloom Construction
Apply for the Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: London
Job Description:

Central London | £85k – £95k

We’re a London-based principal contractor specialising in complex retrofit, working across commercial, residential, heritage and public sector projects from £50k to £10m.

We’re hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of multiple projects from tender award through to final account. Reporting to our Commercial Manger, this is a senior role for someone who wants real ownership of project profitability and a seat at the table on how the commercial function develops as we grow.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the commercial management of multiple projects, from contract award to final account
  • Owning project profitability: margin protection, cost/value reconciliation, cash flow, change control
  • Negotiating final accounts and variations directly with client-side QS
  • Managing and developing supply chain relationships, including key package negotiations
  • Line-managing of QS (as needed) and mentoring junior team members
  • Supporting estimating and pre-con with buildability, value engineering and clean handovers
  • Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts for review with the Commercial Director

What we’re looking for

  • A QS with strong main contractor experience, ideally in central London complex retrofit
  • Confident across JCT D&B contracts, final accounts, variations and commercial negotiation
  • Proven track record of protecting margin and running projects to a tight commercial standard
  • Comfortable line-managing and developing junior team members
  • Someone who wants ownership, and influence over a growing business

Why Bloom

We’re growing, the pipeline is strong, and we’re building a business where senior people are trusted to do their best work. You’ll join a senior-led team with real autonomy on your projects, a direct line to the Commercial Director, and a clear path to Commercial Manager as we scale.
