Visum Recruitment are delighted to be representing our client, a well-established Industrial supplier, who are seeking an experienced and driven Branch Manager to join them on a full-time, permanent basis at their Norwich branch.

The role of the Branch Manager will be to lead the day-to-day operations of the branch, manage and develop a small team, drive sales growth, and ensure excellent customer service. You will play a key role in the continued success of the branch, overseeing operational performance, customer relationships, and financial results.

Branch Manager Job Overview

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 5–10 employees to achieve branch objectives and performance targets.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the branch, ensuring efficient operations across sales, customer service, purchasing, and administration.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow sales revenue and increase market share within the region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key industry contacts.
  • Identify opportunities to develop existing accounts and win new business.
  • Monitor branch financial performance, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, and operational KPIs.
  • Ensure CRM systems are maintained accurately and all customer activity is recorded.
  • Promote a strong customer-focused culture, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Support employee development through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
  • Prepare branch reports and communicate performance updates to senior management.

Branch Manager Job Requirements

  • Strong commercial awareness with experience driving sales growth and customer development.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Good understanding of branch operations, inventory management, procurement, and customer service.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and operational performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or equivalent) would be advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Branch Manager Salary and Benefits

  • Salary up to £55,000
