SRM Recruitment is partnering with a leading independent, UK-focused mid-market private equity firm to find an Assistant Accountant for their Corporate Accounting team.

This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to join a collegiate, fast-paced finance function with broad exposure to senior stakeholders including the CFO, General Counsel, and Portfolio Managers.

The Role

Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working within a team of three, you’ll get involved in:

• Supporting month-end close, including journals, intercompany recharges, accruals/prepayments, and the fixed asset register
• Balance sheet reconciliations and reviews
• Monitoring cash positions across multiple entities
• Preparing group management accounts with commentary for senior stakeholders
• Quarterly variance analysis
• Acting as a key point of contact for international offices on monthly reporting
• UK VAT return preparation and supporting wider tax compliance
• Involvement in external audits across multiple entities

About You

• Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or AAT qualified
• Degree educated (2:1 or above)
• Confident liaising with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
• Proactive with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable managing competing deadlines
• Intermediate Excel skills; NetSuite experience a bonus
