Forward Deployed Engineer
Location: Central London — in-office, 5 days a week
About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll work directly with our customers to bring their data into our platform and configure AI agents on top of it. Customer data lives everywhere — databases, SaaS tools like Salesforce and Jira, spreadsheets, emails — and you’ll be the person who connects the dots, gets it flowing, and makes the product deliver value from day one.
This is a customer-facing engineering role. One day you’ll be whiteboarding an integration with a CTO; the next, you’ll be walking a non-technical operations team through what the platform can do for them. Your ability to flex between these audiences is the most critical part of the job.
What You’ll Do
- Onboard customer data from a wide range of sources (databases, third-party tools, spreadsheets, email, and more) into our data platform
- Configure and deploy agents on top of customer data to solve real business problems
- Build new integrations in Python to connect customer data sources to our platform
- Act as the technical bridge between customers and our product and engineering teams
- Troubleshoot data and integration issues, and see problems through to resolution
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- A technical degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field)
- Coding experience with Python (you’ll use it to build integrations), plus familiarity with SQL; Go or other languages a bonus
- Outstanding communication skills — comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and holding your own in conversation with senior engineers and CTOs
- A genuine willingness to learn, resilience under pressure, and a refusal to give up on hard problems
Nice to Have
- Experience setting up or working with AI agents
- Experience with data storage and data movement (e.g. databases, ETL/data pipelines, APIs)
Salary:
£40K – £60K (depending on experience)
