About FairArt

At FairArt, we are creating a fairer, more profitable art market for all.

Founded on the principles of accessibility and equitability, FairArt is creating the industry’s first collector-to-collector live marketplace and global artist royalty scheme for the secondary art market.

Our platform offers collectors and artists innovative solutions to many of the industry’s long-standing issues around opacity, ownership, elitism, inaccessibility, illiquidity and high fees.

FairArt is:

  • Fair for the buyer – Creates complete price transparency and access to unrivalled information
  • Fair for the seller – Offers the quickest route to sale in the market with industry-leading fees
  • Fair for the artist – Establishes the first equitable international framework for compensation

We are rebalancing the scales and bringing the market to a new generation of consumers.

With more than 35,000 collector sign-ups, we are now focused on building deeper, long-term relationships with our collector base through a more personalised, advisory-led sales experience.

The Role

We are hiring a highly-motivated Senior Art Sales Advisor based in London, UK.

This is a hands-on commercial role focused on building trust with collectors, guiding acquisitions, and developing long-term collector relationships. You will spend most of your time speaking with collectors, understanding their interests, sourcing opportunities, closing deals and helping them navigate the contemporary art market with confidence.

The ideal candidate is not simply a salesperson, but a credible contemporary art specialist who can act as a trusted advisor to collectors. You should be confident discussing artists, editions, pricing, market trends, liquidity, and collection building.

You will work closely with the founders, marketing, and product teams to help shape a more premium, relationship-led collector experience.

Key Responsibilities

Collector Relationship Management

  • Build and manage long-term relationships with new and existing collectors, with a focus on the UK and US markets.
  • Engage FairArt’s existing base of 35k+ collectors through personalised outreach across phone, email, WhatsApp, and in-person meetings.
  • Develop a deep understanding of collector preferences, budgets, and collecting behaviour
  • Provide tailored artwork recommendations and market guidance
  • Deliver a highly responsive, trusted, and premium collector experience
  • Drive repeat purchases and increase collector lifetime value
  • Design and document the sales processes we’ll scale with: lead handling, follow-up cadences, and pipeline stages

Contemporary Art Advisory

  • Confidently advise collectors on artists, editions, pricing, liquidity, market trends, and collection strategy
  • Speak credibly about the contemporary editions and prints market
  • Maintain strong awareness of auction activity, gallery programmes, and collector sentiment
  • Build trust with collectors through expertise and insight, not just transactional sales ability

Revenue & Pipeline Management

  • Improve conversion and repeat purchase rates across the collector journey
  • Manage active sales opportunities and maintain a healthy collector pipeline
  • Reactivate dormant collectors and identify new opportunities within the existing customer base
  • Follow up consistently on inbound leads, offers, and collector enquiries
  • Design the sales processes the CRM runs on: pipeline stages, lead routing, follow-up cadences, and segmentation of our 35k collector base

About You

  • 7+ years of experience in contemporary art sales, art advisory, galleries, auction houses, or collector-facing art market roles
  • Deep knowledge of the contemporary art market, particularly post-war, urban and contemporary editions/prints
  • Ability to confidently discuss artists, market dynamics, pricing, edition structures, and collector behaviour
  • Proven experience building trust and long-term relationships with collectors or high-value clients
  • Strong commercial instincts and ability to drive revenue growth
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment

Highly Desirable

  • Existing network or address book of collectors and art market contacts
  • Strong understanding of contemporary art market trends and auction activity
  • Passion for contemporary art and collecting culture

Don’t meet every single requirement? FairArt is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive team so we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

What Success Looks Like

  • Increased repeat purchase rates across FairArt collectors
  • Strong collector retention and relationship development
  • Higher conversion from the existing collector base
  • Increased engagement from dormant collectors
  • Consistent pipeline growth and revenue generation

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive base salary
  • Strong compensation package including meaningful stock options.
  • Flexible role in London, mostly working out of our coworking office at the beautiful Somerset House.
  • Work in a dynamic startup environment where you can make a real impact.
  • A chance to engage with an exciting network of artists, collectors, and industry professionals.
