How you will contribute to transforming the smart energy network and shaping the future
As Principal Network Architect, you’ll play a critical leadership role in ensuring the integrity, resilience, and evolution of DCC’s network architecture:
- Own and govern end‑to‑end network architecture across access, core, cloud, and platforms, ensuring alignment to long‑term strategy
- Lead network resilience, availability, and risk management, embedding high availability and disaster recovery by design
- Influence and challenge suppliers, driving accountability, performance, and value across a complex multi‑supplier ecosystem
- Define future architecture strategy and roadmaps, contributing to major investment decisions and transformation initiatives
- Elevate architectural standards and governance, improving quality, consistency, and decision‑making across the organisation.
What you need to bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership and influencing skills:
- Proven experience in end‑to‑end network architecture (design through to live operations and optimisation)
- Strong telecoms and connectivity background (e.g. 2G/4G/5G, IoT, SD‑WAN, core networks)
- Demonstrable experience operating across multi‑supplier environments, holding partners to account and driving outcomes
- Broad technical capability including cloud integration, security, and modern infrastructure architectures
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value and influence senior stakeholders
