Salary: Dependant on experience aligned to band 6 starting rate £39,959 WTE

Contract: Initial Fixed Term 6 month

FedBucks is a not-for-profit GP federation of 46 GP practices covering a population of over 550,000 patients across Buckinghamshire. We began in 2016 and now employ around 300 members of staff at our head office site, and across our planned and unplanned care services.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Support delivery of the PCNs strategic plan and priorities
  • Help shape new models of care and service development
  • Build strong relationships with system partners and stakeholders
  • Promote engagement across all PCN practices
  • Use data and insight to support decision-making

Operations & Delivery

  • Oversee delivery of PCN contracts and service specifications
  • Support training and development across the PCN workforce
  • Identify risks and implement solutions with Network Leads
  • Lead on projects and drive initiatives through to completion
  • Ensure compliance with national policies and frameworks

Finance & Governance

  • Support financial planning, monitoring, and reporting
  • Oversee DES submissions and contractual requirements
  • Contribute to effective use of resources across the PCN

Digital & Data

  • Promote effective use of digital tools and business intelligence
  • Develop data insights to inform service improvement
  • Support digital accessibility for patients and staff

Relationship Management

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Lead on communication and engagement across the network
  • Represent the PCN at external meetings
  • Support the development of PCN values and culture

Workforce & HR

  • Support recruitment, induction, and retention of staff
  • Contribute to workforce planning and development
  • Help create clear progression opportunities within the PCN

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Confident leader with strong organisational and project management skills
  • Experienced in working within healthcare or a similar environment
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable working with data to support decision-making
  • Financially aware, with experience managing budgets or resources
  • Passionate about improving patient care and services

Person Specification

Experience

  • Primary care experience
  • Experience of carrying out audits and presenting results
  • Performance, quality and contract management experience

Skills and knowledge

  • High level communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills to include all Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Aware of current issues in primary care
  • Knowledge of the Primary Care Network Directed Enhanced Service specification
  • Experience of the EMIS Web clinical system

Qualifications

  • High level of verbal, written and numerical literacy
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
  • Hard working, reliable, honest, pleasant and approachable.
