Family Solicitor

Haris Law Solicitors is a busy, family specialist law firm located in the heart of Blackburn town centre. We are a Resolution and Lexcel‑accredited law firm. We pride ourselves on delivering clear, practical legal advice with a personal touch. As our firm continues to grow, we’re expanding our Family Law Department and are looking for committed and capable solicitors to join our team.

The Role

This is a full‑time role involving both privately and publicly funded cases. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, provide high‑quality client care, and handle matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, including advocacy where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling a caseload of family law matters
• Advising clients on funding options and assessing financial eligibility
• Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
• Representing clients in court and conducting advocacy when required
• Delivering compassionate and clear advice to often vulnerable clients
• Ensuring compliance with Lexcel and SRA standards

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year PQE
• Strong knowledge of family law, especially divorce and finances
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Comfortable working independently and using initiative
• Experience working with sensitive or vulnerable clients
• Strong time management and case management skills
