A highly successful independent school in Bushey is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of HR to lead and develop its HR function. This key leadership position works closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to deliver an effective people strategy that supports the school’s long‑term vision and objectives.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the HR function, working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
- Manage all aspects of HR including workforce planning, organisational development, recruitment and retention, employee relations and performance management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing expert guidance on complex people matters and ensuring best practice across the employee lifecycle.
- Oversee complex employee relations cases, HR policies, procedures and organisational change initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements and other statutory obligations.
- Lead workforce data analysis, reporting and continuous development of HR systems and processes.
- Champion staff wellbeing initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
Key Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of employment law, employee relations and organisational development.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior HR leadership role within an educational or comparable organisational setting.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and lead high‑performing HR teams.
