Senior Civil Engineer – Sheffield
We are a well‑established multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality development infrastructure projects across the residential sector. The business continues to secure a healthy pipeline of work and is looking for an experienced engineer to play a key role in project delivery and client support.
Location: Central Sheffield (predominantly remote, with one day per week in office)
Role Overview: Take responsibility for the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, overseeing highways, drainage, earthworks and external works packages from initial feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review technical reports and design documentation for highway, drainage, earthworks and external works packages.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities and statutory consultees to manage the technical approval process.
- Support the wider team with project coordination and technical guidance.
- Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies where required.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years residential infrastructure design experience.
- Strong understanding of Section 104, Section 38 and Section 278 agreements.
- Experience producing highway and drainage designs.
- Knowledge of statutory approval processes.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, Site 3D and Flow or MicroDrainage.
Desirable: Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
