Contract Manager – Safety Systems

Office Based: Manchester (2-3 days per week)

Covering Contracts across the UK (2-3 site visits per week)

Remuneration: £40,000 – £45,000neg + Company Car Allowance

The role of the Contracts Manager – Safety Systems will involve:

Managing contracts for a manufactured range of height safety and fall arrest safety systems (such as access ladders, walkway systems, lifelines, safety gates, steel and aluminium railing systems)
Managing multiple projects from order acceptance through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
Conducting site surveys, customer meetings and project inspections across the UK as required
Producing project documentation including risk assessments, method statements, job packs and technical submissions
Co‑ordinating with clients, suppliers, installation teams and internal departments to ensure successful project delivery
Monitoring project costs, margins and progress, and providing regular updates to senior management
Managing project programmes, resolving site issues and ensuring compliance with training, safety and operational requirements
Overseeing projects ranging in value from £2,000 to £100,000

The ideal applicant will have:

Contract Management / Project Management or Site Management experience dealing with a technical product within the construction industry
Ideally experience with height safety and fall arrest safety systems, though experience with related products such as entrance systems, fire, CCTV, access or roofing systems is acceptable
Existing IOSH or NEBOSH certification, or willingness to obtain one
Organised, with good time‑management skills and a self‑motivated approach to achieving targets
