Role Overview
The role of the Contracts Manager – Safety Systems will involve:
- Managing contracts for a manufactured range of height safety and fall arrest safety systems (such as access ladders, walkway systems, lifelines, safety gates, steel and aluminium railing systems)
- Managing multiple projects from order acceptance through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Conducting site surveys, customer meetings and project inspections across the UK as required
- Producing project documentation including risk assessments, method statements, job packs and technical submissions
- Co‑ordinating with clients, suppliers, installation teams and internal departments to ensure successful project delivery
- Monitoring project costs, margins and progress, and providing regular updates to senior management
- Managing project programmes, resolving site issues and ensuring compliance with training, safety and operational requirements
- Overseeing projects ranging in value from £2,000 to £100,000
Qualifications
The ideal applicant will have:
- Contract Management / Project Management or Site Management experience dealing with a technical product within the construction industry
- Ideally experience with height safety and fall arrest safety systems, though experience with related products such as entrance systems, fire, CCTV, access or roofing systems is acceptable
- Existing IOSH or NEBOSH certification, or willingness to obtain one
- Organised, with good time‑management skills and a self‑motivated approach to achieving targets
