Role Overview

We are looking for a collaborative and experienced professional to join the Children’s and Young People Development team at Oldham Heritage, Libraries & Arts. In this role you will help to design and deliver a range of programmes and activities for children and young people across the service. Within the integrated HLA service, this role works across a number of libraries as well as with the collections and exhibitions at Gallery Oldham.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support the development of Heritage, Libraries & Arts (HLA) Service to deliver a dynamic, flexible Library and Museum service that meets the needs and aspirations of the local community
  • To participate in the development of a range of inclusive and diverse innovative programmes, including organising and running events and activities that support formal and informal learning.
  • To support and promote national education, health, digital, literacy, heritage and creative initiatives

Key Requirements

  • Experience of planning and delivering a programme of events and activities for young people
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, ICT, interpersonal and motivational)
  • Ability to assess customer needs and deliver services appropriate to that need
