Software Engineering Team Lead

Technical Team Lead (Python/AWS) | Hybrid – West London

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Team Lead with strong Python expertise to lead a talented engineering team in a fast‑paced technology environment.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll combine technical delivery, team leadership, and people management while helping build scalable cloud‑based products.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and mentoring a team of Software Engineers
• Running regular 1:1s, coaching team members, and supporting career development
• Driving sprint planning, delivery, and technical priorities
• Providing technical leadership across Python‑based applications and services
• Ensuring high standards of code quality, testing, and engineering best practices
• Collaborating with Product Managers and stakeholders to deliver business value
• Supporting production systems and driving continuous improvement
• Helping shape scalable cloud‑native solutions on AWS

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years leading engineering teams
• Strong expertise in Python
• Experience with Flask, Django, and/or FastAPI
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineers
• Strong AWS and cloud platform experience
• Knowledge of modern software architecture, APIs, and microservices
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Exposure to Data Platforms, ETL processes, or Data Science environments is desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Hybrid – Hounslow, West London (2 days per week onsite)
