We’re seeking a Lead Low Latency Electronic Trading Engineer to evaluate, design, and implement solutions that support the global Morgan Stanley low‑latency, high‑speed trading plant.
This is a VP‑level Networking and Infrastructure engineering position responsible for managing and optimizing technical infrastructure and ensuring seamless operation of IT systems to support business needs.
Responsibilities
Build, deploy, manage, monitor, and maintain the global Morgan Stanley Low Latency Trade Plant Network across multiple regions.
Install, configure, and perform daily maintenance of devices in production across multiple business units.
Interact with vendors for all hardware failure and RMA processing.
Gather KPI and metric requirements from Business Unit customers and deliver appropriate solutions within the tools.
Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of data networking principles and high skill operating various network management systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Low‑latency network and systems engineering, deployment and operations experience in Market Data provider, Prop Trading, and Exchange (connectivity) environments.
Expert level abilities in configuration and management of Low Latency Network Routers and Switches.
Strong ability to decode packet captures to identify network and application issues.
Desirable ability to write scripts to manage aspects of the NMS platforms and create automated reports and metrics.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
