About the role
The Senior FP&A Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the Group. Reporting into the Head of FP&A, you will take ownership of the Group planning cycle, deliver insightful, board‑level reporting, and act as a trusted strategic partner to the CFO and Executive Team. You will drive business performance, influence key decisions, and lead initiatives that enhance forecasting accuracy, performance tracking, and long‑term value creation.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands‑on leadership, with the ability to prioritise effectively and translate complex financial information into clear, high‑impact insights. Operating in a fast‑paced, matrix environment, you will bring strong commercial acumen and the confidence to challenge, influence, and support stakeholders at all levels.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end Group planning cycle, including annual budgets, forecasts, and the five‑year plan and aligning with Group strategy and market expectations.
- Produce and present Group performance reporting, including KPIs and variance analysis that provides key insights for an Executive Team and Board audience.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to interpret results, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decisions and become a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team and CFO.
- Deliver commercial analysis that drives value, including scenario modelling, trend evaluation and leverage market data to sensitise forecasts.
- Own Group performance management including frameworks, risk and opportunity tracking and relevant KPI reporting.
- Drive continuous improvements across FP&A, including automation, enhanced reporting, improved forecasting methodologies and adoption of AI.
- Lead FP&A input for investor presentations and market updates.
- Ensure strong financial governance, controls, and compliance with Group policies and audit requirements.
- Lead and develop FP&A capability, including direct line management and influencing wider team adoption of best practices.
- Deputise for the Head of FP&A as required.
About you
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical grounding and understanding of accounting standards.
- FP&A background within a PLC or matrix environment, leading planning cycles and driving change.
- Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to turn data into clear insights and influence senior stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, with experience using tools such as SAP and Power BI.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience developing individuals and building team capability.
- Resilient and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, work collaboratively and manage competing priorities.
